Members and friends of the Choir soaking up the atmosphere
at Kents Cavern in preparation for their forthcoming concert which included Rutter's "When Icicles Hang". Whilst
no icicles were in the caves, stalactites and stalagmites were the next best thing!

The 3 CD's, The three Choirs
from Devon - North Devon Choir, South Devon Choir and Stanborough Chorus - join together once every three years. Here
is a colourful joining of choirs taken in Torquay Town Hall, 2007 taken during the first half prior to the main
work of the evening, 'Carmina Burana' by Karl Orff. A full orchestra of 60+ instrumentalists played and
a choir of young people was also included in the latter work. The next concert will be held in June 2010 in the Torquay Town
Hall with a repeat preformance the following day in barnstaple Pannier Market (see our concert diary).
A photograph of a more recent final rehearsal prior to the
performance in the evening at Central Church, Torquay on 12 July 2008. 'Hiawatha's Wedding Feast' was included
in the programme in which Georgia O'Reilly, a young ballet dancer from Paignton, danced and Richard Rowntree, tenor
sang the famous 'Onaway' for the performance in the evening. Just click on the photo to view it in a separate window.
