MUSIC STAFF
Musical Director: John Hobbs. John
was a Choral Scholar at Christ Church, Cambridge and he holds a BA and teaching qualification. He is also Musical Director
of the North Devon and Bude Choral Societies and a member of the New Cornwall and Duchy Opera companies. In addition, John
receives many requests as a baritone/bass soloist for concerts given by societies and groups
Assistant Musical Director/Accompanist: Christopher Sears.
Christopher is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists. He is Head of Music at Torquay Boys’ Grammar School
and Choirmaster/Organist at All Saints Church, Babbacombe, Torquay. He joined the South Devon Choir in his present
post in 1996
